  Note: The 4/13 lecture notes only include notes not already in the 4/11 lecture notes above (some of which we didn't get to in 4/11 lecture). You should bring both 4/11 and 4/13 lecture notes to class with you on April 13.

Chapter 8

  Note: I have inserted additional slides in the 4/20 lecture notes, but pages 3 to 5 and 9 to 11 in the 4/20 lecture notes are the same as pages 10 to 17 in your 4/18 lecture notes, so you may want to save on printer ink by not printing them if you plan to bring your 4/18 notes to class with you.
• There are no lecture notes to print out for 4/25. We will go through the remainder of the notes we didn't get to on 4/20 and then will do a group problem.

Chapter 9

• 5/2/06: Molecular geometry and valence bond theory
• 5/4/06: Valence bond theory vs. molecular orbital theory
  Note: These 5/4 lecture notes include slide not already in the 5/2 lecture which we didn't finish. Bring your 5/2 lecture notes to class with you also, since that is where we will start.
